The primary aim of the Financial Planning Association is to be the community that fosters the value of financial planning and advances the financial planning profession. FPA’s strategy to accomplish its objectives involves welcoming all those who advance the financial planning process and promoting the CFP^® mark as the cornerstone of the financial planning association.

The Financial Planning Association is the membership association for nearly 30,000 CFP^® professionals, financial planners, specialists and organizations dedicated to advancing the financial planning process. On January 1, 2000, members of the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP) and the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP) took a bold leap forward, combining forces to create the community for the financial planning profession-FPA. FPA is now the strongest collective voice of financial planning in the history of the profession. FPA of North East Ohio has developed and implemented a six step leadership structure that has radically changed the progress we are making toward specific goals. Each of the board members are responsible for a committee which will take hold of and carry out the FPA of North East Ohio goals over the next few years. The results produced are staggering. The dynamic effects of this leadership structure include the ability to not only meet goals, but to surpass them and create new projects and accomplishments. The chapter was recently recognized by FPA as a gold level achiever, one of eighteen out of one hundred to achieve this award. We welcome your involvement.
