The vision of the FPA of NE Ohio -
Ethics/Government Relations Committee is to help members build and
maintain a practice based on the highest professional and ethical
standards. We will communicate effectively with all of our constituents,
including our members, the public, financial services industries,
legislatures, and regulatory bodies. The strategies will include providing
educational resources that help to implement our vision. To solicit
membership for additional committee members to help in the implementation
and the ongoing process of development To communicate to members
concerning legislative and regulatory issues To provide educational
resources to our members To develop mutually beneficial relationships
with allied associations To educate members as to how effectively
communicate with legislators To develop the capability to influence
legislation and rulemaking

Radio/TV/Newspaper Media One of the goals
of the FPA of NE Ohios Public Relations Committee is to promote awareness of
financial planning to the public. The association has hired professional
writers to create articles that address the publics financial concerns.
Each month three are written. The articles are written to attract readers
and provide a valuable public service. They are sent at no charge to the
